Dr. David FavellDr. David Favell is London, ON native. After high school, he studied at University of Western Ontario for eight years to earn a Hons.BSc degree in chemistry, and a DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery). He joined Dr. Elgin Thompson’s well-established practice in 1988, then purchased Dr. Barry Markham’s 35-year-old practice in 2010.
He attended many training courses in Canada and the USA to develop skills in specialized areas including orthodontics, and reconstructive, rehabilitative, and implant dentistry. Dr. Favell consistently exceeds mandated continuing education requirements. He served as a professor/clinical instructor of restorative dentistry, and as an associate clinical professor of oral medicine and radiology.

Dr. Favell and his wife, Sylvie, live in London with their sons, Owen and Graham. In addition to family activities, he enjoys curling, hockey, golfing, and fishing. Dr. Favell coaches and sponsors children’s athletic teams. As big London Knights fans, the Favell family has billeted numerous Knights players.
Dr. Shawn BruntIn 1999, Dr. Shawn Brunt earned Doctor of Dental Surgery credentials from University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry. Following residency, he served as a staff dentist at Vancouver General Hospital, and as assistant professor of dentistry at University of British Columbia. Dr. Brunt entered private practice in London, ON in 2004, and joined Dr. Barry Markham’s practice in 2006 as an associate. He currently serves as a clinical instructor and as assistant professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at University of Western Ontario. He is also a clinical instructor at Medix School’s Dental Assisting Program in London.
When he is not caring for the oral health of patients, Dr. Brunt enjoys hiking, kayaking, fishing, football, and spending time with family.
Dr. Alexis MarkhamDr. Alexis Markham knows the people and place of London, ON – she grew up here! She received a BSc. in Biology from the University of Western Ontario, and graduated in 2008 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Markham returned to London to enter practice Dr. Barry Markham, her father. She serves as a part-time instructor in the Fanshawe College Dental Hygiene, and maintains membership in the Ontario Dental Association, and the Dental Exchange study club.
Dr. Markham is passionate about all aspects of dentistry, with a particular interest in restorative treatments, including dental crowns and bridges.
Dr. Natalia KrasnogyrDr. Krasnogyr’s dental career began in 1998 when she earned a General Dentistry diploma from Belarusian State Medical University. Internship at Children's Municipal Policlinic in Minsk, Belarus followed; then clinical residency in Operative Dentistry. University of Western Ontario granted her a Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) in 2014.
Dr. Krasnogyr continues to expand her knowledge base to provide well-rounded care for patients. She has completed a year of training in Orthodontics and holds certification in Conscious Sedation. In addition, Dr. Krasnogyr stays abreast of changes in the dental field through active membership in:
- Academy of General Dentistry
- Ontario Dental Association
- Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario
CDA Level IISarah joined our practice in 2007. She is a graduate of Fanshawe College (class of 1998) with a Level II Dental Assistant diploma. With a broad-based background, from dental assisting to administrative tasks, Sarah helps patients with scheduling, insurance, and financial questions. She has extensive experience in dental reception and is always eager to help with the administrative needs of patients. When she is not at the dental office, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
RDHNancy brought her experience and skills to Downtown Dental Centre Family Practice in 2009. In 1991, she graduated from Fanshawe College as a Certified Dental Assistant. She returned in 1998, completing their Dental Hygiene program. A move to Toronto led to the opportunity to gain six years of experience with a cosmetic dental practice, before returning to London. Since that time, she has worked in part-time and permanent positions at several dental offices and for a periodontist. Nancy enjoys continuing education courses that help her stay current in the field. Patients like Nancy’s friendly, outgoing manner and say she is easy to talk to. When she is not at work Nancy enjoys a busy family life with her husband and two sons.
RDHSandra graduated as Registered Dental Hygienist in 2010 and joined the Downtown Dental Practice. She holds a diploma in Business Marketing, and graduated from Dental Assisting in 2003. At the Canadian College of Dental Health in Burlington she obtained a Dental Hygiene diploma in 2009. Sandra is enthusiastic about dental hygiene, and loves to help patients achieve and maintain peak oral wellness. Sandra is fluent in English and Portuguese. She likes to spend time with her husband and two children, when she is not at work.
BSc, RDHTina joined the team in 2006, with a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Waterloo. She also attended Niagara College for Dental Assisting, and then Fanshawe College, receiving a Dental Hygiene diploma in 2003. Tina is enthusiastic about taking continuing education courses to maintain expertise in the dental hygiene field. Her warm, friendly disposition readily puts patients at ease. Tina’s spare time is spent with her husband and three children.
CDA Level IIStacy came into our practice in 2015. She graduated from Fanshawe College in 2010 with a Level II Dental Assistant diploma. Stacy is also certified with the ODAA and has experience with dental reception. She enjoys spending spare time with her German shepherd dog, travelling, and outdoor activities.
Reception/Financial ManagerKathy brought more than 30 years of experience and knowledge in dental reception to our office when she joined us in March 2013. She also expands her skills in office administration by taking continuing education courses. Kathy loves meeting our patients and helping them at the front desk. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandson and traveling.
Dental Assistant/Clinic CoordinatorKeirsten is a CDA Level II and has been a certified Dental Assistant for Dr. Favell since 1995. She is a NDAEB Certified Level II Dental Assistant and graduated from Niagara College in 1993. Her refined clinical skills combined with her kindness will ensure your visit is positive and comfortable.
Dental HygienistTina joined us in July 2006. She attended The University of Waterloo where she received a Bachelor of Science degree 1996. She then obtained her Dental Hygiene diploma. By attending Fanshawe College and Niagara College. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2003. Tina has experience in many branches of dentistry and is involved with continuing education courses to maintain expertise in the field. She has a warm and friendly disposition that will be sure to make you feel at ease.
